I have electronic and acoustic kits, although I've been playing mostly electronic drums in recent years. My electronic kit is a Roland TD-6 V-club kit with an extra tom and the TD-6 brain. At this point I know the drum brain inside and out, and I hope to pick up another drum module soon to grow my pallet of sounds.
As far as my acoustic kits.... The coolest one is a vintage (circa 1973), chocolate brown, seven-piece, Premier acoustic drum set. This has oversized drums, and resembles the set used by Phil Collins in 70s. But the one that sounds the best and is easier to lug around is a five-piece Pearl set. I have all Zyldian cymbals, and a mix of hardware.
For recording, I use a Roland Edirol UA-25 USB capture device and CUBASE SE v 1.07, for Digital Audio recording and editing. Other goodies I've accumlated include Korg 707 and EPS 16+ sampler keyboards (which I sometimes trigger from the V-club kit) an Ibaneza bass, a Fender electric guitar, and countless other toys.
